Postcard sets - colorful groups on display
Postcards are often produced as a series or set. Grouping a set of postcards makes a nice display. Click images to enlarge.
Left - I love these New Orleans postcards I bought while on a trip in 2012. The photographer, Richard Cummins, really captured the essence of the city with the colors and shapes. I have these three postcards hanging in the entryway near the kitchen. A great way to remember a special trip to the French Quarter.
Middle - This "sweetheart" collection is one of my favorite. These three postcards are not part of the same set. The postcard in the middle is from 1910. The other two are from 1912. Because of the time period and quotations, they look great together.
Right - The bird postcards are part of a series produced by the National Wildlife Federation in 1957. On the back of each card is a description of the bird and a map showing its habitat. They look handsome and regal hanging together. I would like to find more of this postcard series to add to my collection.
