Just a swingin' - Clip frame is perfect for this fun postcard

1908 vintage postcard with clip frame. From collection of J Garner.

First, I found this postcard at an antique mall. I love the black socks and swinging attitude of this fancy lady from 1908! Then, this clip frame caught my eye at a craft store. Couldn't be more perfect! Now, our carefree lady gets to swing freely with no frame boundaries. And, it is easy to read the message on the back of the card. Unfortunately, the aunt who sent this postcard was not in a very carefree mood. She admonishes her niece for not writing sooner - "how is it you do not answer my letter are you sick or what is the reason I have looked for a letter until I am sick". (Postcard writers in the early 1900's were not big on punctuation.) But the best part is a comment at the top that was hastily written before the postcard was mailed. She had to eat her words - "received your letter this morning". Hopefully all was forgiven and they continued a great relationship.
