#28 Postcard Trivia 9.4.18

Postcard from collection of J Garner.  Printed by Universal Souvenir, Inc., 2014.

This fabulous postcard had me fooled! A friend brought it to me from her trip to New York City. My first impression was that this new card was illustrated with a vintage photo, probably from the early 1900's. I was about the origin of the photo but there was no information on the back. I wasn't getting anywhere trying to research it. Finally, I saw what I had been missing. Right there, front and center, are the street lights! This is a modern day photo of a horse and carriage in Central Park, probably taken near the time the postcard was printed in 2014. The sepia color, buildings in the background, and the carriage (not to mentioned the driver's outfit) give it a real vintage look. And from what I understand, a horse and carriage ride through Central Park has a vintage feel to it also. I hope to give it a try someday!

Trivia Question:

Since noticing the street lights in the photo, I have found two other items that give away the time period. Can you name two or more items in the photo that belong in the 21st century?

See answer below.

Answer to Trivia Question:
