This postcard features the Split Rock Lighthouse in Minnesota. I received this card from my parents in 2005. They enjoyed the view from the top of the tower! The lighthouse was built in 1910 at a cost of $75,000. Its light can be seen as far away as 22 miles and it was in operation until 1969. Split Rock Lighthouse State Park is maintained by the Minnesota Historical Society and is located on the coastline of the only Great Lake that borders Minnesota.
