From this spot at the Rock City gardens on Lookout Mountain near Chattanooga, Tennessee, you can see Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Kentucky! I bought this postcard at Rock City. It features the amazing view from the overlook along with the unique marker. The gardens and trails of Rock City were carved from the rocks of Lookout Mountain in the 1930’s. This spectacular site is complete with waterfalls, bridges, caverns, and beautiful foliage. Lookout Mountain was used as a lookout post during the Civil War. Today, there are lovely homes and neighborhoods along the winding road that leads to the top with many historical markers and attractions along the way.
