Postcards on the square - successful trip to Granbury, TX

Last week, a road trip turned into a treasure find! My husband and I traveled to Granbury, TX, for the day. We visited Granbury a few years ago and I remember purchasing postcards at a shop on the square called Brazos Moon. I was happy to find that the shop is still there and still a great place to hunt for treasures! The shop owners fixed me up with a basket and an album full of vintage postcards to look through. I was surprised to find postcards like the ones I bought there before - cards from Anna and Alice, two sisters from the mid-west in the early 1900's. I feel like I know these girls! I've read about important milestones in their lives (births, moves, etc.) and many everyday events that are familiar to all of us. See my post in History for the story of Anna getting electric lights in her home. I enjoyed visiting the Brazos Moon and chatting with the owners. I picked out some great new postcards for my collection. And since I couldn't buy them all, I'll be back to shop at Brazos Moon!
